Enhanced Instruction
Give a specific example of how you could use online biological databases to enhance your instruction in a biology or physiology classroom.
Download a coloring book atlas of the digestive system. Copy and paste the image in Fireworks (or any paint program), OR give them a handout for them to color with colored pencils. While I go over the function of each organ, they can color each one and write the function next to it. Instead of giving them an already labeled handout, this forces them to recognize where the organs are actually located.
Write a higher-order question that would require students to analyze data from one of the databases
Using Zoom Dinosaurs, find 5 dinosaurs that walk on two legs and 5 dinosaurs that walk on four legs. What characteristics do they have that differ, or have in common?
